Artist dates take us out of our everyday thoughts. They bring new discoveries to our everyday lives. It takes time to plan an hour each week. Yet, when you really think about it, that hour can me found by planning...or sometimes, we can just pick up some time here and there...where ever we find ourselves.

I took my artsy ten year old neice to Hobby Lobby this weekend and we just looked and looked! Her mom is not so artsy and so she doesn't get to do that much. I had a blast seeing things through her eyes. She likes to put things together in ways I hadn't thought about them before. We ended up getting some supplies and making a santa figure for her mom's collection! It turned out adorable and I know she had blast. My kitchen is now covered in sparkles and white fuzzies, but it was totally worth it to bond with my neice over art!
